Pleased to announce that on Wednesday 30 November, there will be a joint MESG & SISG webinar featuring two distinguished former military officers and current Academics and Scholars, Dr. Chris Kilford and Dr. Frank Sobchak. This event will be moderated by Ms. Peggy Mason, former Canadian Ambassador for Disarmament at the UN.

Nearly 20 years ago the US invasion of Iraq was authorized based on intelligence sources that suggested Saddam Hussein had a WMD program and posed a threat to the United States and its allies. After the invasion, no stockpiles of WMDs or active WMD program were ever found in Iraq. On this 20th anniversary of the Iraq war, the US public and their elected officials will be reflecting on the costs and consequences of this conflict. It is in this context that our distinguished speakers will be sharing some of their perspectives and observations with the participants of this timely and important webinar.
