THE BALANCING ACT: NAVIGATING THE PARADOX OF SECURE OPEN BORDERS

15 February 2024, 6:00 pm EST

Aulde Dubliner & Pour House, 62 William Street Ottawa, ON K1N 7A3 (ByWard Market)

OVERVIEW

In today’s interconnected world, the concept of open borders poses a complex security dilemma. While open borders promote freedom of movement and economic prosperity, they also can present significant challenges in terms of security and management. Contrary to common belief, securing open borders does not happen at the physical border itself; rather, it necessitates a comprehensive approach that starts well beyond the border.

Join us as we unravel the complexities surrounding open borders and discuss strategies for effective border management that extend far beyond physical boundaries.
