CIC Calgary: Cold War 2.0 – Artificial Intelligence in the New Battle Between China, Russia, and America – and what it means for Canada

The CIC Calgary Branch is pleased to host George Takach who will discuss the topic of his new book Cold War 2.0 – Artificial Intelligence in the New Battle Between China, Russia, and America, focusing on what this new era means for Canada.

George holds a bachelor’s degree in history, political economy, and philosophy from the University of Toronto; a graduate degree from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University; and a law degree from the University of Toronto. For forty years, he practiced technology law at McCarthy Tétrault, Canada’s premier law firm. He has written three books on technology law/tech commercial subjects—this is his first book for a general audience. He lives in Toronto and is a CIC Toronto member.

Doors open at 5:00 pm, presentation at 5:45pm with Q&A to follow at 6:30 pm. Light food and refreshments will be served.

Members can attend for FREE, but must RSVP by emailing the branch at calgary @ thecic.org to request a seat. Members may bring one invited guest to this event but they must inform the branch and provide the guest’s name when RSVP-ing via email.
